Renewable Energy: which is the most promising

We all know that fossil fuels are being used at an alarming rate and before long we won't have much left.

Even with the new finds and better technologies allowing more and more to be extracted in the future, there is still a limit as to how much oil and gas there is and therefore there is going to be a time sooner than we think perhaps where we run out.

Given this then we know that we have to start looking at alternative energy forms and ideally renewable ones: such as solar, wind, tide power and so on and so forth.

Which of those do you think is the most promising and why... or are there ones that you think aren't going to ever be viable to provide enough energy for us... perhaps the main form of future energy is something that we don't even know about yet?
