Green Energy

Green Energy
Green energy suppliers are those companies that supply energy that is generated by green or renewable means. But what that actually means can vary considerably. In this section we look at what counts as green energy.

Most energy is of course still generated by power stations that burn fossil fuels - the vast majority of our energy in the grid comes this way, with a notable percentage also coming from nuclear sources. The amount that comes from renewables is very low at just a few percent.

Whilst you may not think there are many suppliers of green energy, actually there are quite a few, including of course various niche suppliers that are trying to make the market their own.

We hope you find the articles in this section, listed below, of use. The articles look at green electricity tariffs and companies that supply them, together with information on renewable obligation certificates, where green energy comes from, and also information on where UK energy comes from currently.
