This tariff according to the southern electric website was actually one of the first tariffs that was declared to be green under the green energy supply certification scheme.

Better plan is the energy reduction program from Southern Electric, and as well as being a tariff they actively encourage customers on this particular tariff to take steps to reduce their energy usage.

Southern Electric, for customers of this tariff match every unit of electricity used with a unit of hydro generated electricity, and also meet the minimum abatement level of 50kg carbon per customer per annum.
