Deep Green Tariff

This is the second of the tariffs offered by Green Energy UK.

The deep green tariff matches 100% of the electricity supplied to you with a supply from renewable power.

There are various different sources of the renewable energy that make up the electricity: for instance from solar, vegetable oil and wind.

According to their website, wind is responsible for 7% of the mix, biomass 12%, hydro 24% and waste 55%, with 2% other.

So this does mean that a lot of the electricity comes from so-called waste to energy schemes.
