OVO Green Energy Plan

OVO is an independent green energy company.

There are two tariffs listed on their site at time of writing, the new energy plan and the green energy plan. This is the better of the two plans in turns of the green-ness of the electricity in the mix. The below information contains the highlights of the tariff from their website:

- It is fixed price to save you having spikes in bills going up
- The standard tariff (new energy plan) is 15% green energy. With the green energy plan in contrast this is right up to 100% green electricity so a big plus there. It is more expensive than the energy plan
- Paperless billing

So those are the two tariff options. The first one has just 15% green energy so that you can do your bit without paying a green premium, as the website says, whilst the second tariff is for those who specifically want a tariff whereby all the electricity is matched with electricity obtained from renewable energy sources.
