Scottish Power Simply Green
The Simply Green tariff is one that provides 100% green electricity, which is as part of the company's renewables obligation.
When you sign up to this tariff at the time of writing according to their website they will donate £10.50 to the Green Energy Trust each year that you are on the tariff, this is the charity that supports renewable energy products in the UK.
In terms of the 100% green electricity, the website says that they match the amount of electricity that you use with the purchase of that amount from a renewable wind source.
People who are on this tariff will also receive their Green magazine twice a year for free. It is a solely online product and therefore has paperless billing which of course is more environmentally friendly than billing that requires paper.
