Some of the countries and areas that are most at risk from global warming are islands and low lying areas.
This is because the sea and ocean levels get raised by global warming as ice melts and returns huge volumes of water to the oceans, and therefore sea level rises.
This means that low lying areas, islands and so on could all be submerged by water which clearly makes it impossible to live in those areas.
It would be interesting to hear what would happen if the worlds major polluters were those countries most at risk and how that might change their attitudes!
