Oxfam Charity Credit Card

Card name: Oxfam charity credit card

Issued by:Co-operative Bank

The next of the 'green' credit cards to look at is the Oxfam charity credit card, also issued by the Co-operative (spotting the pattern?) There may be charity credit cards also issued by other providers but at the very least the majority of them seem to be with the Co-operative bank.

Oxfam is a well known charity and most people are familiar with what they do. If you are familiar with Oxfam and support the cause, then you may be interested in getting a credit card that will help the charity financially. And that's exactly what happens with the Oxfam charity credit card from the Co-operative.

As with other cards in the range, there are set donations and then matched donations proportional to your spending on the card.

There is one card in the range and it is called the Oxfam Flat Rate card. If you open the account then they get £15 for instance, and this means that 50 metres of emergency water distribution pipe can be purchased, so there are tangible benefits.

When the account is used another £2.50 is gifted, and the context given for that sum is that this could pay for six hours remedial teaching in a Cambodian school.

So there are real and tangible benefits for the charity by having this credit card; as ever there are full details of the card on the Co-op website along with details of the other charity credit card partnerships so you can choose your favourite charity to support.
