Shelter Charity Credit Card
Issued by:Co-operative Bank
There is just one credit card in the Co-operative charity credit card family relating to Shelter, and that card is called the Shelter Flat Rate Card.
With this particular card, interestingly, the donation model is slightly different than with the other credit cards in the charity card range.
Whilst with the other cards when the account is opened there is an instant donation, with this particular card the donation is only made when the card is used for the first time, but not with a six month restriction, at least the website does not mention that condition if it exists.
The donation that is made to Shelter is also £20, whereas for other card types it would usually be £15 when the account is opened and then £2.50 when the card is first used, so as you can see the donation model is slightly different with the Shelter credit card. There is the usual 25p donation for every £100 spent on the card, in-line with the other charity credit cards.
As ever there are full terms and conditions of the card on the Co-operative website for anyone who may be interested in this credit card, and also the option to apply for the card.
To apply for the card you must meet certain minimum conditions, that is you must be aged 18 years or over, you must be a UK resident, and you must have an income that is at least £10,000 a year.
